Britten and Beyond - Amersham Winter Festival

Continuum’s Britten and Beyond celebrates fifty years since Britten’s death with a programme that places his iconic choral works alongside two newly commissioned pieces from Joanna Forbes L’Estrange and Ben Parry.

The concert traces the musical influences that shaped Britten and the composers who continued, and continue, his tradition, including Purcell, Ireland and Ravel. By setting premieres and classics together, the programme creates a powerful musical conversation across generations, offering a fresh, contemporary way to engage with Britten’s legacy.
