This programme moves from the intensity of Allegri’s and MacMillan’s Miserere and the stark beauty of Tallis’s Lamentations towards the expansive world of Parry’s Songs of Farewell. New commissions from Lucy Walker provide a contemporary counterpoint to these landmark works, leading into Parry’s profound final cycle. The performance forms part of the continuing partnership between Clare Hall and Continuum Choir.
